One wintery afternoon we decided to make the 50 mile trip to the privately run 1940's Swansea Bay Museum, located surprisingly enough in Swansea Bay!

Being out-of-season the museum wasn't busy so we virtually had the run of it to ourselves. This meant we got a chance to lark about and dress up in the '40's clothes (some of them genuine CC41 garments) and uniforms normally left out for school parties to rummage through.

As you can see Steve enjoyed inspecting the kit-car jeep parked outside the museum entrance. We also enjoyed walking through 'the street' - a series of little rooms replicating an air-raid shelter during a raid, an RAF operations room, '40's living room, a pub, shops and railway ticket office.
